James Cochlin
Consulting Director

James Cochlin

With years of experience as a project manager and principal consultant, James has delivered SAP license management projects to some of the largest SAP clients in the world. As a SAP licensing expert he specialises in contract management, total cost of ownership analysis, license asset analysis, license optimisation, SAP license measurement defence, measurement preparation, compliance health checks, roadmap to compliance planning, enterprise licensing strategy, SAP security blueprints and concepts and risk mapping. He is an expert in SAP security and authorisations design and GRC implementation. He is also an SAP indirect access licensing consultant providing future licensing impact assessments, as-is indirect access risk assessments, enterprise-wide functional and technical interface reviews.

James has helped large European and global clients in various industries, including consumer goods, telecommunications, food and beverage, transportation, energy and the public sector to achieve significant cost savings, entitlement optimisation, risk mitigation and positive measurement outcomes.

James previously led Deloitte’s SAP Security & License Measurement practice based out of Belgium. James also served as a security consultant for CSI focusing on SAP, and Deloitte Belgium (Brussels) and worked with Harte-Hanks on behalf of SAP UK to identify and advise small to midsized organisations on purchasing and implementing SAP business applications.

Daniel Hesselink
Oracle Vertical Lead

Daniel Hesselink

At ITAA Daniel works client side, helping end-users to actively improve their Oracle license compliance and negotiation position. With his combination of technical and communicative skills, Daniel is regarded as an industry expert for Oracle licensing and is a frequent guest speaker at software asset management venues throughout the world, as well as IT industry events as such as VMWorld.

Daniel has been working in the software licensing industry since 1995, having held positions at vendors, distributors and resellers. His skills resulted in him training staff, partners and end-users in software licensing. As a former auditor for Oracle License Management Services he also trained employees throughout EMEA.

Koen Dingjan
IBM Vertical Lead

Koen Dingjan

Koen is regarded as an industry expert in IBM licensing and helps ITAA clients manage IBM license compliance and defend against license compliance audits.

Koen has been working in IBM software license compliance since 2006. As a Deloitte auditor he coordinated and performed more than 60 IBM license compliance reviews. He was the main point of contact for IBM compliance managers, scheduling and staffing onsite reviews, coordinating and performing license compliance procedures, training and guiding junior colleagues and performing quality assurance reviews on final audit reports.

In 2011 Koen developed a two-day IBM compliance certification course covering all key aspects of IBM license compliance from an auditor perspective, and is frequently invited to speak at software license management conferences. In 2017 he launched Blue-LM, a unique SaaS tool that automates key IBM license management processes.

Becki Riall
SAP Vertical Lead

Becki Riall

Becki is a specialist SAP Licensing Consultant. Her experience includes technical compliance analysis for both On-Premise and Cloud licensing models as well as advising on new licensing models such as Digital Access and S/4HANA. Becki can not only identify but also remediate compliance risks and successfully defend customers from complex licensing situations during audits. Her expertise stretches to commercial negotiations and benchmarking of deals; ensuring her customers are able to negotiate contract(s) that align with their organizational goals and for the right price. Becki speaks at industry conferences on the subject of SAP licensing and commercials to inform customers of the latest updates and share her expertise.

She has advised FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 customers in numerous industries, including Banking, Retail, Manufacturing and Utilities. Becki is currently the SAP licensing lead at IT Asset Alliance and is responsible for overall delivery of SAP licensing projects.

Wim Zuman
Microsoft Vertical Lead

Wim Zuman

Wim has worked in software licensing since 2009. He is highly skilled in the field of Microsoft licensing contracts and everything related to it. He can be a conversation partner for C-level and boards of directors as well as a sparring partner for other stakeholders, such as systems integrators or software procurement departments.

Wim leverages his expertise and experience with Microsoft licenses to make licensing smarter, better and more cost-effective for customers. This is part of the ongoing process of proactively managing the software estate. His in-depth expertise enables Wim to be involved in the entire process of determining a customer’s licensing position, from contract negotiations to strategy definition.

In addition, Wim can also help with specific projects such as audit support. He can advise on the optimal set-up of on-premises and cloud environments, allowing organizations to continue to innovate and gain maximum benefit from both worlds.

Tom Bracher

Tom Bracher

Tom is responsible for the overall commercial strategy within ITAA, leading the growth of our Commercial Vertical throughout the UK, US and Europe. He has worked across multiple industries including Finance, Automotive, Energy, Aerospace and FM with experience across transformation programmes, outsourcing engagements and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Throughout his career he has been a trusted advisor working intimately with businesses to deliver a client focused service, ensuring the best possible outcomes from a spend and value perspective. When he’s not helping clients Tom loves spending time with his family and friends and watching, but rarely playing, too much sport.

Rory Canavan
Software Asset Management Vertical Lead

Rory Canavan

With a technical background in business and systems analysis, Rory has a wide range of first-hand experience advising numerous companies and organizations on the best practices and principles pertaining to software asset management. This experience has been gained in both military and civil organizations, including the Royal Navy, Compaq, HP and Flexera.

Rory is a member of WG21, the Working Group tasked with developing the ISO 19770 family of SAM standards – and more recently was the winner of the ITAM Review “ITAM Professional of the Year”.

Hans Naedts

Hans has actively pursued a broad range of SAP solutions and products to establish himself as a highly experienced and forward-looking SAP solution provider and integration manager.

Bringing an objective viewpoint, Hans has built future-proof SAP roadmaps which reflect both the business and IT needs of his clients.

His expertise has contributed to the success of several S/4HANA transition projects.

As integration manager Hans leads or coordinates SAP implementation projects and optimizes the project “Run” phase.

Hans was previously SAP consultant for Accenture, working with European and global clients to help overcome their SAP challenges.

Carol Purslow

Carol has a wealth of business experience gained in a number of roles across a broad range of organizations and sectors. She has worked in various client-facing positions, developing relationships and delivering projects with private and public sector clients, UK and worldwide. These activities were complemented by Carol’s background in marketing and product management, both in B2B and consumer roles.  She has worked within large manufacturing (FMCG and textiles) and services (utilities and domestic energy efficiency) organizations.
